A genuine gasoline V-8 for performance motorboats. With 5.0-liter displacement and eight cylinders, this engine delivers loads of torque and power across the entire speed range. The advanced fuel-injection system is a perfect match for the SX single-propeller drive or the Duoprop twin-propeller drive. The drive can easily be adapted for right (standard) or left-handed propellers. Power steering is fitted as standard for maximum driving comfort. Cooling System

• Crankmounted seawater pump
• Electrocoated exhaust risers and manifolds (non-catalyst engines)

Engine Block and Head

• Color-coded service points

EVC Instruments

• EVC-EC -- Plug and go: EVC Electronic Vessel Control is the latest development in engine control and instrumentation for Volvo Penta marine engines. EVC makes boating easier and safer, offering electronic shift and throttle, twin engine and power trim synchronization and new software functions such as trip computer and power trim assistant. EVC is easily scalable from one station up to four, from a classic dashboard up to an advanced driver information system. The system is built on the latest automotive technology with waterproof connectors, so it's just plug and go.
